What the new $300 million Kali Hotel means for a SoFi Stadium visit

Inglewood's Hollywood Park district has spent nearly a decade building around SoFi Stadium, the Kia Forum and, more recently, Intuit Dome. What it has lacked is a hotel inside the development itself. That changes with the Kali Hotel and Rooftop, a 300-room Marriott Autograph Collection property that KPC Development Company expects to open in September 2026, according to SoFi Stadium's own newsroom.

The $300 million, 12-story hotel is adjacent to SoFi Stadium and the YouTube Theater and within walking distance of the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome. For visitors weighing a game-day trip or a longer Los Angeles stay built around a concert or match, it adds a lodging option that did not exist in the neighborhood before.

What the hotel actually offers

The Kali Hotel will have 300 guest rooms, including 34 suites, plus nearly 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space, according to a September 2025 press release distributed through SoFi Stadium's news site when the building topped out. Other amenities include a lobby bar, a pool and yoga deck, a spa and a fitness center.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts will manage the property. The hotel's 34 suites are intended in part for sports and entertainment figures visiting nearby venues, according to Urbanize LA's coverage of the project. The building's design team includes general contractor Clayco, architect Lamar Johnson Collaborative and interior designers Sixteenfifty Creative Intelligence and Gensler.

Sources differ slightly on timing. SoFi Stadium's own newsroom and trade outlets including REBusinessOnline and WhatNow cite an anticipated September 2026 opening. An earlier Urbanize LA report, published before the topping-out ceremony, had projected a spring 2026 debut. As of the most recent coverage, following the September 2025 topping-out ceremony, no exact opening date beyond "September 2026" had been announced.

The rooftop restaurant, and what's still unknown

The hotel's signature dining space is a 12th-floor restaurant and bar described in press materials as an "expansive rooftop." The restaurant is expected to overlook Hollywood Park, according to a report from WhatNow. It will operate alongside a separate all-day dining concept for hotel guests and a full-service lobby bar.

What has not been disclosed is who will run the kitchen. A report from the hospitality outlet WhatNow, covering the same project, states plainly that the culinary concepts had not yet been announced as of its reporting. Travelers hoping to book a table for a specific chef or cuisine will need to wait for that announcement closer to opening.

The hotel is described in company materials as "the only hospitality destination of its kind in Greater Los Angeles," a characterization attributed to KPC Development chairman Dr. Kali P. Chaudhuri in the Crescent Hotels release marking the September 2025 topping-out ceremony.

Why the location matters

Hollywood Park is a nearly 300-acre mixed-use development built on the site of the former Hollywood Park Racetrack and owned by Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal. At full buildout it is entitled for up to 2,500 homes, 890,000 square feet of retail and 900,000 square feet of office space, anchored by SoFi Stadium and the 227,000-square-foot YouTube Theater, which opened in August 2021.

SoFi Stadium itself seats 70,240 and can expand to more than 100,000 for major events, according to Wikipedia's summary of the venue, which opened on September 8, 2020. The Kia Forum, a short walk away at 3900 West Manchester Boulevard, holds up to 17,505 people, per its official FAQ page, and has operated since 1967 under various names, including The Forum and The Great Western Forum. Intuit Dome, home to the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers, opened in August 2024 with a capacity of 18,300, according to Wikipedia.

Together, the three venues put a visitor within walking distance of NBA basketball, NFL football and a steady schedule of concerts and awards shows without needing a car once checked in.

A hotel timed to a run of major events

The hotel's opening lines up with a heavy calendar for SoFi Stadium. The venue hosted eight matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including the United States men's team's opening match on June 12, 2026, per Wikipedia's summary of the tournament; for World Cup matches the stadium was temporarily renamed under FIFA sponsorship rules. SoFi Stadium is also set to host Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, its second Super Bowl after hosting Super Bowl LVI in February 2022.

Los Angeles is also set to host the 2028 Summer Olympics, and Urbanize LA's reporting on the Kali Hotel's construction notes it is positioned to serve attendees of the World Cup, the 2027 Super Bowl and the 2028 Games. Existing hotel options near SoFi Stadium are limited for those events.

For a hotel opening roughly two months after the World Cup and about five months before the Super Bowl, that scarcity is part of the backdrop. Whether the Kali Hotel takes reservations tied to those specific events had not been detailed in available coverage as of this writing.

What to know before planning a visit

Because the hotel has not yet opened, there is no published information on room rates, an exact opening date within September 2026, or a booking window through Marriott's Autograph Collection channel. Travelers interested in a stadium-district stay should watch for a formal opening announcement rather than assume availability this month.

The broader Hollywood Park district around the hotel is further along. Retail space including a Cinépolis IMAX theater and multiple restaurants began opening in phases starting in 2023, and two residential buildings, the Crosby and the Wesley, started leasing that January, according to the Los Angeles Business Journal's reporting on the development. A visitor arriving before the hotel opens can already explore the surrounding lake, plazas and retail without a room to stay in yet.
