Air France adds San Diego and Nashville flights for 2027 and ends Denver
Air France will fly from Paris to San Diego starting May 3, 2027, and to Nashville from May 14. Its seasonal Denver service ends October 10, 2026, with no 2027 return.

On October 8, 2026, Air France announced two new nonstop routes from Paris-Charles de Gaulle for 2027: San Diego and Nashville. Both routes are scheduled to begin in May 2027 and operate three times a week. The Points Guy, reporting on the announcement, says the airline's seasonal Denver service ends on October 10, 2026, and that an Air France spokesperson confirmed it will not return in 2027.
San Diego is the only California city among the new routes, and no new San Francisco or Los Angeles service was reported in the sources reviewed. For travellers moving between Europe and California, the change adds a nonstop Paris option to San Diego, which will not begin until next spring.
Which cities gain direct service
San Diego (SAN) starts on May 3, 2027. Nashville (BNA) starts on May 14, 2027. Both routes operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, using an Airbus A350-900 with business, premium economy and economy cabins.
Air France says it will be the only airline offering nonstop flights from Paris to both cities, and the only carrier serving Nashville from continental Europe. The airline's release also notes that KLM already serves San Diego from Amsterdam Schiphol, with up to three weekly flights. That service is not operated by Air France.
Air France says it will serve 20 U.S. destinations in summer 2027, including the two new routes. Déplacements Pros lists Los Angeles and San Francisco among those 20 destinations, without describing either as new. Tickets for both routes go on sale on October 14, 2026, through the airline's website.
The Points Guy describes Air France as a close partner of Delta. It says Air France and Delta, together with KLM and Virgin Atlantic, form a joint venture covering U.S.–Europe flights. It also says KLM and Virgin Atlantic have announced no new U.S. routes for next year, and says Delta plans at least three new routes to Europe in 2027, including Austin to Paris from March 27.
What the Denver exit means for travellers
Air France's seasonal Denver flights began in 2021. The Points Guy reports that they end on October 10, 2026, and that the airline will not return to Denver in 2027, as confirmed by an Air France spokesperson. The spokesperson said the Denver capacity will be reallocated, with no overall reduction in capacity across the region.
The official release does not mention Denver. One Mile at a Time reports that Air France had already cut its Paris to Denver flights, without giving dates, and its author suggests the freed-up aircraft could be used on the new routes. That is the author's suggestion, not an airline statement. Déplacements Pros describes Air France as redeploying some of its U.S. capacity after suspending the Paris to Denver route.
The One Mile at a Time author also argues that the new routes probably make more sense than Denver, where United has a large advantage. That is analysis by that author, not a position Air France has taken.
According to The Points Guy, United will begin daily Denver to Paris flights on May 27, 2027, using a Boeing 787-9.
Flight times and block times
The release gives local times. AF058 leaves Paris at 10:10 and lands in San Diego at 12:50 the same day. The return, AF059, leaves San Diego at 15:10 and lands in Paris at 11:05 the next day. For Nashville, AF046 leaves Paris at 14:10 and arrives at 16:40, and AF047 leaves Nashville at 18:55 and lands in Paris at 10:15 the next day.
One Mile at a Time gives scheduled block times and cites AeroRoutes as its schedule source. The Paris to San Diego flight covers 5,698 miles, taking 11 hours 40 minutes westbound and 10 hours 55 minutes eastbound. The Paris to Nashville flight covers 4,372 miles, taking 9 hours 30 minutes westbound and 8 hours 20 minutes eastbound. The same article gives May 17 as the San Diego start date.
“San Diego is the only California city among the new routes, and no new San Francisco or Los Angeles service was reported in the sources reviewed.”
Where the reports differ, and what comes next
The sources disagree on the San Diego start date. The Air France release, The Points Guy, Déplacements Pros and TravelPulse give May 3, 2027. One Mile at a Time gives May 17, 2027. This article uses May 3 because it matches the airline's own release.
Flight numbers also vary. The Air France release lists AF046 and AF047 for Nashville and AF058 and AF059 for San Diego. One Mile at a Time lists AF38 and AF39 for Nashville, while The Points Guy gives AF46. The release says the Nashville number is a tribute to Dolly Parton, who was born in 1946.
The Denver end date comes from The Points Guy alone among the sources read. The official release does not address Denver, and One Mile at a Time mentions a recent cut without dates. As of October 11, 2026, the Denver service is scheduled to have ended, and the new routes are not yet on sale. Ticket sales open on October 14, 2026, and the first scheduled flights are on May 3, 2027 for San Diego and May 14, 2027 for Nashville. The Points Guy's article contains no Air France statement about route plans beyond 2027.
